“Black Pregnancy” is the first story in the minimalist, dance-theater, short story trilogy: Chronicles of a Uterus
“Black Pregnancy: the destruction”, is set in the1930's during the Great Depression. The piece tells the story of a woman with a troubled psyche. Her psyche is addicted to negativity and darkness; through this addiction, she feeds the uterus creating masses out of darkness called “black pregnancies”. It is a macabre dance between the mind and the uterus; when creation takes an inverted turn it becomes destruction. It reflects not only the fragility of the female psyche, but the power a woman has to create her own reality. The trilogy will be followed with the second story an “Mrs. Chambers and the Brain: the preservation” and the third story “P: the creation”.
